About me

I’m Muriel, I have an educational background in textiles and studied fashion design in Italy. I recently successfully completed the second year of the AMUSF Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in upholstery and soft furnishing.

I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands and restoring things, which is what led me into upholstery in the first place. I enjoy the balance of practical craftsmanship and creativity that comes with my work, and the fact that every project is a little different and comes with its own character, challenges, and opportunities to create something unique.

I am passionate about restoring and reimagining furniture, I enjoy bringing pieces back to life. I have a particular appreciation for textured fabrics, colours, and the little details. I enjoy helping clients find the right balance between preserving a piece's history and giving it a fresh lease of life, whether that means a faithful restoration or a complete transformation.

If I’m not in my atelier working on a piece, you’ll probably find me with a coffee in hand instead—or slightly distracted by a promising chair left in a skip.
