Hello, thank you for visiting…

I’m Muriel,

I have a background in textiles and fashion and have successfully completed the second year of the AMUSF Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in upholstery and soft furnishing. I am passionate about restoring and reimagining furniture, I enjoy bringing pieces back to life through skilled upholstery techniques and carefully considered fabric choices.

I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands and restoring things, which is what led me into upholstery in the first place. I enjoy the balance of practical craftsmanship and creativity that comes with my work, and the fact that every project is a little different and comes with its own character, challenges, and opportunities to create something unique.

I have a particular appreciation for textured fabrics, colours, and the little details. I enjoy helping clients find the right balance between preserving a piece's history and giving it a fresh lease of life, whether that means a faithful restoration or a complete transformation.

If I’m not in my atelier working on a piece, you’ll probably find me with a coffee in hand instead—or slightly distracted by a promising chair left in a skip.

A wooden chair with a blue upholstered seat and a beige and gray plaid throw blanket draped over the backrest. To the left, there is a white shelving unit holding a potted fern plant. The wall behind the chair features a framed piece of art with bold black letters.
A sofa with a green floral patterned fabric backrest and armrests, and a black seat cushion, placed on a wooden floor. There is a poster and a hanging plant in the background, and some debris on the floor, indicating the sofa is being repaired or restored.
